Scarborough is a secluded seaside town on the tip of the Cape Peninsula that was designated as a conservation village. The townsfolk defined Scarborough as, "a residential area of limited extent, surrounded by a conserved natural landscape, committed to reverse past environmental damage and to avoid future environmental impacts." So, if you are looking for a secluded haven tucked away between magnificent, unspoilt beaches and the nature of the fynbos kingdom there is simply no other choice.
Scarborough is home to the original Camel Rock Restaurant, well known for its fish braai on a Sunday and great pizza menu, or you can just pop down to their pub and enjoy a craft beer around the fire pit and chat to locals. The atmosphere is casual and the staff friendly and helpful. There is also the Village Hub which hosts Foragers, where you can pick up wholesome organic supplies, fresh bread or grab a free range omelet or choose from their many other options. Vegans and vegetarians will find a good selection of produce at the Whole Earth Café. The Camel Rock Restaurant has a small cash store on the side of the restaurant where you can pick up basic supplies as well.
